So ... we wanted to goto our usual spot @ East Coast for Hei-Mee but it wasn’t open so went for this instead. Maybe my palette is too picky but this barely made it ... 😭 Everything was just not bad. Probably because as all humans do we judge the book by it’s cover? 🤣 But this place really grew on me with each passing moment.

C+ stands for community plus and what’s interesting about them is that they actually gather various best sellers cakes from craft & home bakers and present le creme-of-the-crop for their patrons which is AWESOME because any choice would be a good choice? LOL. Perhaps it was CNY day 3, there weren’t much to choose from. We had their Yuzu Cheesecake & also a Nutella Chocolate tart! It was good but not like mind-blowing lol. 😋 BUT what blew me away was what happened next!

While chilling there their friendly staff explained that we could watch Netflix (no chilling please) or play PS4 😱 etc etc and do we did. We felt so comfortable and at home that we end up spending 4-5 there hours just munching on our cakes, watching Netflix, drinking coffee, tea then beer. SO HOMELY! I’ve never felt so at home at a cafe before! 真的很 Shiok! So if you want to goto a joint with an array of yummy cakes from all over without the hassle of going to so many cafes or if you just want a quiet place to slack and chill, this is it.

we loved every dish and cleaned up every morsel of goodness on the plate. We had the Cesar Salad (Kale, Grilled Chicken, Poached Egg, Bacon & Aged Parmesan) which was light, refreshing and savory. OMG, and highly raved Ravioles de Royan (French Dumplings filled with Tete De Moine Cheese) were ultra decadent but smooth on the palate and the truffle scramble eggs were runny and downright flavorful to the very last bite. We are sooooo satisfied. @mercimarcel is definitely going into our favorites list! ❤️

🤣 And I must say my palette is teochew-ly satisfied. #badpun The staff were well-trained in the knowledge of the dish and their recommendations were amazing. I think we barely scratched the surface of their menu but we would recommend their miniature yam rings, oyster omelette, pan-fried vermicelli, miniature yam rings (OMG, that’s like happiness in a bite okay) and of a course anything that’s braised. 😍😋

I mean who doesn’t love anything that’s deep fried. From tasty prawn rolls, tofu skin, dough sticks, ngoh hiangs, bitter gourd with fish paste. OMG. It’s heavenly 😍 You might have eaten Fulin Yong Tao Fu @ foodcourts but I tell you this place really elevates the whole eating experience. I really like how they’ve curated a quaint environment for diners through their choice of music and of course decor. I was transported to Japan during that 30 mins of lunch. 😍 Felt like I was having a home-cooked meal by a Japanese Okaasan. #ittekimasu ! #burpple
