The cake ($7.80) has a soft & fluffy texture. The taste & fragrance of the black sesame is just right.

The matcha latte ($5.80) is light and refreshing, and most inportantly, it does not have a lingering bitterness that one would expect from a matcha based beverage.

Great ambience with live band and live soccer broadcasts. The traditional pork knuckle ($43.90) did not disappoint. The meat was juicy and the skin was so crispy, you could practically hear it crackle as you bite on it. The sourness from the sauerkraut and the salad dressing balanced out the greasiness of the pork. To top it off, the beer infused sauce further brings out the flavor of the dish. You probably have to wait for about 30 minutes upon ordering, but it’s worth the wait!

Ambience is great for a chill date. The Matcha Latte ($6.00) has a smooth texture. It leans more towards the aromatic flowery taste rather than the matcha taste. The tiramisu ($8.00) is pleasantly light.

Went to NTU Canteen 1 for lunch and found that their japanese stall has changed (once again) so decided to give the new shop a try.

The onsen egg is well done, and the soup is flavorful with the slight sweetness and savoriness of the soy sauce. Will probably come back to try other items on the menu!

Was shopping at Suntec with my girlfriend and decided to stop by for dinner. Chicken is well marinated and flavorful. For someone who doesn’t like breast meat, I quite enjoyed it as it is not too dry at all. For $16.90++, you get to enjoy the meal along with a wide variety of sides from the salad bar. I recommend the mushrooms and the Cream of Mushroom soup.

My family decided to eat laksa for dinner tonight and I ordered a medium-sized portion ($6.50). The laksa sauce is really rich & smooth and I can’t stop eating mouthful after mouthful.

P.S. went through a packet of tissue papers since it was rather spicy for me even without adding chili.🔥

Comfort food for Thursday lunch. Always appreciate good century egg porridge. Currently there’s a 50% off for all porridge items along with a drink (dine in only). So it’s quite worth it.

As for the porridge itself, I like the gooey texture and consistency. The salted egg and century egg really accentuates the overall flavor of the porridge. Comfort food at its finest.

After exploring and singing “Don Don Don Donki~”, I decided to have my dinner at the Japanese food court Hokkaido Marche. I thought the price for a bowl of Kaisendon ($16.80) was reasonable with the great assortment of fishes offered in one bowl. While it can’t quite compare to the goodness back in Hakodate Asaichi, this bowl still packs a punch.

Decided to have our after dinner dessert here. Liked the texture and sufficiently light flavor of the earl grey cake ($5.80)
