The pork belly is a must try when you’re at ShuKuu Izakaya. It is lightly crispy on the outside. On the inside it is a combination of firm, greasy, moist, and soft. It is so juicy it is comparable to eating a XiaoLongBao where the more you chew, the richer the flavor gets. The perfect dish that you eat, taste, and savor.

The ambience in the Izakaya is a mixture of comfort, stylish and lively. The crowd is made up of mostly office workers coming out of work in the evening.
The staff were friendly and the service was absolutely amazing.

Went on a dinner date at Meat n’ Chill, I ordered the carolina bbq pork ribs and they were delicious! The last time I had authentic US bbq ribs was at texas road house and the one at Meat n Chill is comparable. My ribs were on the sides of sautéed mushrooms and corn bread. The corn bread was a perfect combination to the ribs as they were moist with a mix of sweet and savory. It got me wondering what was the sauce served with the corn bread, it was really good. The sautéed mushrooms was surprising addictive, it was smooth and the herbs it was cooked with made it very fragrant.

Overall I had a great date night and would recommend everyone to try their ribs, sautéed mushrooms and corn bread although it is very calorie heavy but it is worth it for a thanksgiving meal.

The restaurant is located near Sixth Avenue MRT and is just a short walk from the station. When I visited, it was raining but luckily there is a sheltered walkway all the way to the restaurant.
