decadent brownies Edith has been on my list of places to try for years, but I鈥檝e always skipped it due to the absence of dine-in facilities. My generous friend gifted me with a box of hazelnut brownies ($9 for 6 squares) - finally an opportunity to try its highly raved about bakes! The brownie is made with a rich chocolate, sweet with a tinge of bitterness. There is a hint of orange before the nutty flavour sets in. They recommend leaving it out for 30 min before consumption - best way for it to achieve a beautiful fudge consistency! Can鈥檛 wait to try their cakes and tarts 馃専

Matcha Bobba Tart Had seen this popping up on social media so many times last year and have always wondered what would this taste like. Happened to be in the vicinity so I finally got my hands on the Matcha variant. The green tea custard was so on point! I really like the matcha custard a lot. It was luscious and filled with bitter sweet goodness. The tart shell was buttery crisp and really goes well with the custard. The bobbas were a little hard, which was an indication that they had been cooked for quite some time.Don't think they are great ingredients for bakes since their chewy texture is only possible if they are well hydrated in beverages.Nevertheless, glad to finally tasting bobba with tea custard tarts.

Pizzas by the ferry! 馃崟 I feel like I am encroaching on a secret too good to be true whenever I dine here. Then soft alfresco breeze, the view of the setting sun, the cheap beer and delicious quality food coupled with 1-for-1 food and beer deals... Tell me who believes such a place exists? . Thia cozy gem is tucked at the edge of Singapore art the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club, which makes it very quiet in the evenings. The two times I've been here, I could count the number of other occupied tables here with one hand. . The food is also spectacular. You would think that somewhere so serene would have mediocre food, but the pizzas and pastas here are made from fresh simple ingredients and pack a powerful flavour with each bite. . For example, the buffalino mozzarella pizza in the first picture uses the main flavours of mozzarella, basil, and tomato but come together to produce a wonderful multi-dimennsional mouthful. The seafood pastas use a hearty amount of garlic and fresh in ingredients, too -- I typically do not like mussels due to its chewy texture but it was nicely done in the tiger prawn aglio olio here.

Great Tom Yum Pasta! Cafe is located at level 3 of bishan sports hall. First time here and was pleasantly surprised to find the deco to be so pretty! The tom yum pasta is delicious; fresh seafood and the broth coats the linguine well. Wish there was a bit more seafood though. They have a daily set meal which is pretty worth it. Do check this place out if you're in bishan and craving for some fusion pasta!

Beef Meatballs Pasta in Tomato sauce (Set Lunch From $9.90 onwards) The pasta was good, I like the sauce. As for the meatballs, I find it too soft for my liking. It doesn鈥檛 have the meaty, bouncy bite that I鈥檓 looking for in a good meatball.

Do join me in xindots if you are interested! #xindots -- Good bites, which is also opened by the Citrus group, serves similar food as that at citrus by the pool. Interestingly, both are located right next to a sports hall/swimming complex! Good bites is at bishan sports hall. The food here is quite affordable! Set meals start from $9.9 and includes a salad/mushroom soup (additional $1 for soup) and drink. The teriyaki chicken pasta came with such a huge portion of chicken meat we were shocked! The meat was juicy, not dry at all. The laksa pasta (additional $2 for the set meal) came with fishcake (we thought it was otah and got disappointed lol), beancurd, egg and prawns! The laksa sauce was slightly too salty for me though. Ordered the mushroom soup as we loved the one we had at citrus by the pool. But the portion here was quite small though (or perhaps the bowl was jus overly too big!) Tried the apple crumble ($7.9) as well, but it turned out diff from what we expected. It was served in a cup and it was entirely made up of stewed apples + crumbles + vanilla ice cream. I was expecting an apple crumble like Han's cafe which comes with a tart-y base haha. The interior here was super pretty with marble printed tables + cushy chairs! The cafe from the outside also reminds me of those 'rooftop houses' as seen in kdrama... Very homely feeling! #xindots #xindots_sg #goodbitessg
