Chibog's pork and chicken combination sizzling sisig with a touch of lemon. So plentiful, we only finished 1/4 of it. Pretty meaty, not your typical fatty and oily kind (albeit thats the best and original kind of sisig). More bang bang bang for our buck!
Chibog's is our go-to Filipino brunch place!

We have here some unhealthy serving of garlic rice (then again garlic is good for u!) and a nice serving of lechon kawali -- deep fried pork belly with all its glistening fat and chewy skin --- a very not-so-healthy-but-oh-so-good dish we always wanna have when our doctor's not looking. Crispy, juicy, and fatty... Need I say more? And to balance it a bit, so tortang talong --- grilled "butterflied " eggplant with ground beef omelette. Just add ketchup. (Yes, it goes oh so well with egg and eggplant!) there you go, a beautiful, albeit doubtfully healthy, breakfast, Filipino style!

It's salted dried fish we lovingly call TUYO. Usually it's called herring here or stock fish in other countries. It is sun-dried and salted and is a staple to Filipino breakfast. Best accompanied by tomatoes, some vinegar and of course, garlic fried rice. It was definitely love-at-first-sight when I tasted this during my younger years. And it's been so many years since I've had them again! Smelly some might say when cooked, but to me and my taste buds, they're extraordinarily delightful!
