Hiang Ji Roasted Meat & Noodle House is located at Toa Payoh's food alley. It is fairly popular during lunch time so I thought why not give it a try? Unfortunately, the prices are quite expensive and you can expect to pay $5 - $7 for a normal plate of Soya Sauce Chicken rice or noodles depending on whether you add meat.

I ordered the Soya Sauce Chicken noodles with added meat (which comes with complimentary soup) for a total of $7. It was quite pricey and the meat wasn't all that great. Although at first glance it may look like a lot of meat, they end up giving you slices with more bone than meat on it. Noodles were springy and the added chilli was flavorful which was a slight plus!

Their particular saving grace is their Chicken Rice Chilli which is extremely aromatic and zesty. The chilli itself isn't overly spicy and the extra sourness really enhances the flavour. Would come back just to eat the chilli again but everything else is really a miss for me, you can definitely get better chicken noodles at a cheaper price :(
