Armed with the car, I was sourcing for a place to study on this Labour Day after being turned away by the amazing queue at Paddy Hills. I headed over to Prive @ Keppel Bay, which also had a queue and eventually landed up here at TCC By The Bay.

This affogato featured a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream in a pool of espresso, with some honey nestled at the bottom of the glass. The honey was gooey, but also had some crystalised crumbs which made it crackle upon biting. The entire dessert/drink ended up more on the sweet side. The 'By The Bay' blend features coffee beans from Indonesia, which was quite easy on the palette, almost drowned out by the gooey and crumbly honey. To be honest, I didn't expect to be treated to such an interesting experience at TCC so I was rather satisfied!

Heartiness (portion): 2/5
Tastiness (product): 4/5
Worthiness (price): 3/5

Ambience: A nice place to hang out amidst the upper echelons of society, being surrounded by the boats and the marina, but not if you don't have a ride in. Keppel Bay is a place for alfresco dining, so it isn't any wonder that it got slightly hot in the afternoon as the sun crept in through the window panes; however it isn't unbearable. Oh, and parking for about 4+ hours was 10 bucks so be prepared.
