The place is small but the ambience in Fat Belly is classy and comfortable. We managed to get a seat at the counter to witness the chefs preparing food. The place only opens at night. It is best to make a reservation before going because there are limited indoor seats.
We ordered Jack’s Creek Crossbred Wagyu Marble Score 4/5 Denver (200g) and Icon Crossbred Wagyu Marble Score 4/5 Deckle (300g) as our mains. The fats make them tender and chewy. The bright-red hue against the charcoal-grilled exterior makes the dish appealing and savoury. It was a fascinating experience.
We also had truffle fries, sautéed thyme mushroom medley and pomme puree as our side dishes. They gave a huge portion of the delicious truffle fries! The mushrooms were flavourful and soft. The pomme puree is buttery and creamy! Overall the side-dishes were delectable and better than I had expected!
We had tiramisu for our dessert. There is a slight tinge of alcohol and it tastes heavenly. It literally melts in my mouth!
