High Tea Buffet($34.80)@ Swatow Restaurant:
Restaurant is Chinese atas type. Really maciam rich ppl can afford oni. Pace of food arriving at tables can be quicker. 15mins for 2 types of dishes to arrive within eating time of 1h30mins is quite long. Got a large variety but lots of misses. Best would be century egg porridge, Fried Salted Egg Fish Skin, Chicken Feet,Pork ribs and Fried Banana Red Bean. #JonApproves 7.25/10 Century egg Porridge is flavorful, really cooked to perfection. Warm for the throat.
Milk tea is legit,I believed they used the Thai milk tea powder that is used in Chatuchak.
Pork Jelly is unique, meat is like bah kwa but less oily and have the jelly like texture.
Prawn is ok.
Laksa is not bad,got the curry leaf essence.
Fried Salted Egg Fish Skin is crispy and salted egg is legit. Saltiness is just rite,not too much.
Char Siew Baos has red vinegar taste, it threw me off when I first smelled and tasted it. Nothing fantastic tho.
Siew Mai is not bad.
Har Gao is nice,meat is plentiful.
Fried Prawn is ok.
Steamed Chives Dumpling is ok.
Abalone is chewy,not the freshest.
