This is really value-for-money! A Japanese grill stall located at the basement at Westgate where most takeaway food stalls are, they have seats for dine-in customers who perhaps fancy a don for lunch. The Premium Steak Don may not be using a steak of a very good cut, but it still works out pretty well here given this only costs $10.80 with a drink on the side. Sitting atop a bed of rice that is drizzled with savoury sauce, the beef is done medium-rare and came with a pinkish centre with texture that's pretty melt yet carried a very smoky charred flavour that makes it so so satisfying. While the egg isn't particularly wonderful, it is a good side that comes default with the Don. I like the addition of kimchi here, which adds a refreshing crunch to the Don.
