The Communal Place was rather empty when we visited due to the odd hour, but had bustling business by nightfall at dinner time, which was quite commendable given its slightly inconvenient location on the map. However, the food and service served at the restaurant were really worth a mention, which explains its popularity despite its location. The staff there were really friendly and easy-going. I ordered a miso salmon, and the rich savoury taste of the dish pleasantly surprised me. Overall, my partner and I really enjoyed the food and ambience there, and would like to recommend it to other couples out there looking for a casual date, if you don’t mind the travel of course!
