I'm not sure if this is entirely original, but whoever came up with the combo of donburi sauce + mascarpone cheese is pure genius. These baby eggplants are cooked to perfection, and swim in the most delightful sea of tempura flakes. Anyone who's tried this dish at Kilo knows just how crazy good it is, and for a fraction of what the other dishes here cost! Sometimes I'm tempted to just come here for this dish and a bowl of rice and a nice cocktail mmmm.
