Went hi-tea on a Friday afternoon~

Would recommend the following from the sweets:
- Scones
- Strawberry and Rhubarb Tart
- Rasberry Dome
- Valrhona Gianduja Macaron
- Cannelés De Bordeaux

As for the rest, they are nice but not wow I would say, like the taste you and I already know, so ya…

The Scones (both plain and fruit) may look simple but getting to that perfect taste (not too sweet) and texture (not too airy and not too hard) can really make one awe!

The strawberry and rhubarb tart taste refreshing, not too sweet, and a little sour, with the buttery crust/tart, I don’t mind having more~

The rasberry dome too, sweet and sour combi, and complemented well with chocolate mousse, this is good!

As for the macaron, do fairly well, surprised that it isn’t too sweet and the gianduja added on to the texture (like hazelnut) of the filling, surprised by it…

As for the cannelés, I guess it’s more for the adult, the rum is pretty strong, don’t mind me saying, the texture is a little like huat kueh, in a gd way, pretty chewy…

Pistachio and cherry gâteau is a little disappointing for the layers do not go well together, can’t really taste the pistachio and cherry, like not too sure what I’m eating…

Homemade stollen is pretty decent, good to have but if you got no stomach already, can skip this…

Chocolate praline is pretty standard too, smooth and not too sweet chocolate…

Quite like the following savouries:
- Truffle Liver Brûlée
- Baked Salmon Quiche with Emmental Cheese
- Duck Rillette with Pommery Mustard Aioli on Focaccia

Truffle liver brûlée at first bite taste like erm…strong truffle hit with mushy texture, but I would say this is the merimising point, somehow, after the first bite, it makes you crave for more, and before you knew it, you already finished it…definitely worth a try!

Baked salmon quiche is pretty decent, like how the cheese complemented the salmon, giving the salmon a little deeper taste…

The duck rillette focaccia is gd too! Soft and moist with that distinct duck and mustard taste, yum~

Find the caramelised turkey ham with pineapple in vol-au-vent a little off, they taste good separately but doesn’t complement each other that well when put together…

As for the flavoured sandwiches with baba ganoush and grilled eggplant, it’s decent but again not wow…

The bar is pretty quiet and spacious, good for groups!
