These days, it seems a classic eggs ben isn't enough to cut it with discerning cafehoppers. More is needed to impress. An example is Stateland's take that incorporates a local element of laksa. In my opinion, it works, albeit turning out to be much smaller than I expected. The "eggporn" money shot didn't happen though as the egg in my order today was a tad overcooked. Sigh... But regardless, the yummy, slightly sweet laksa sauce made up for it somewhat.
