From the new Sushi Don at Wilkie Edge. Thought this was somewhat decent but a misnamed; it’s hard not to expect a Donburi topped with Unagi and assorted cubes of fish with its name. It turned out to be more of a Unatama Don with chopped up Unagi served with egg cooked in a dashi broth and an Onsen egg. With the egg cooked as though it was in an Oyako Don, it is no doubt light and savoury; very comforting, while the Onsen egg was runny. Unagi was well glazed in the sticky, sweet sauce that so often comes with it, whilst not being too scaly. Decent, but a little pricey at $18, though should be named a little bit more appropriately to manage expectations better.
