Came by with a whole bunch of colleagues specially to try out the newly opened Cantonese restaurant at Suntec. Their dim sum were pretty decent, Chinese tea was hot and nice. All started quite alright, until the later parts where the wait between dishes got longer and longer. We spent half our time waiting for food, and the Peking Duck never arrived! Really not a good idea to visit a new establishment on their first day of business.

Celest Lim Sounds like a book title - "The Mystery of the Missing Duck" - lol! On a serious note, I guess being a new place, they haven't quite got the work flow down pat yet.
Veronica Phua Lol! Sounds like a tasty book! Haha.. actually we were looking forward to trying a new place for lunch, but ended up disappointed.
When asked about our Peking duck, the staff avoided the question and eye contact, just went on their business. Only till later did they come over and admitted the kitchen couldn't cope. Not well handled. But yea, understandably teething issues.
Oh.. Hopefully they will learn from this incident and implement a better way to handle such situations in the future.
Yea, hopefully. For the most part, they were fine and quite prompt in refilling the tea. They did make a wrong headcount and served one bowl short when splitting the soup though. Lol... another small hiccup.
