If you havent tried this before reading this, I am sorry guys you may be too late.

Teochew Fishball Noodles is an old school stall run by an elderly couple for more than 50 and located a stone's throw away from the famous 1* Tai Hwa bak chor mee. I have walked by long queues at the stall on a couple of occasions but only tried it recently because a friend was raving about it and well it was closing in end-March.

The noodles here are really good. QQ, springy and al dente. I also loved their fishballs which were bouncy and juicy. Those who love their lard on top of the noodles can ask for more but I don't taste the fried garlic even though we asked for more. The meat was a tad overcooked for my bowl and their seasoning is on the mild side (I prefer mine Tai Hwa heavy).

The elderly couple's son was telling some regulars in the queue that they had to close the stall and retire cos the new owners of the kopitiam raised the rent significantly. Who knows, they may just be back soon!
