A good plate of Char Kway Teow for me depends if there's wok hei or if they are generous with the egg. So to see a younger generation cooking up a plate that's packed with wok hei was a surprise. It was of the dry kind but you can taste the egg in every bite.

Second plate we ordered was different as its wetter and the wok hei isn't as strong. Possibly cos it's cooked by another person or maybe we dig in faster for this plate! 😂 after all we took quite some time before we dig in the first.
