This, my friends, is chee cheong fan, but not the Hong Kong style with the light soya sauce. Nope! This is a hearty version with lots and lots of thick sweet sauce over the springy rice rolls, and lots of other add-ons such as fish cake and meat rolls that are boiled and added in (a little like yong tau foo).
