Not too sure if they are in any way related..but the first impression was that "omg, why is the soup so orange!!" Seems like the prawn juice had leaked out.. comparing the two, I prefer the lighter clear broth of yanji's. Although a.a.s.s seafood gives much more soup! As for the ingredients, they seem pretty similar to me.. although the prawns here felt fresher and firmer.. #aassseafoodsoup
