[London] Ahhh yes…the one thing that I was very insistent on trying when I got to London - Shake Shack. This American fast food chain stands out from its competitors by smashing its beef burger patties down on the grill while they’re cooking. What you get is an uncommon crisp to the patty, which almost crosses the border of redefining a good burger.

I’ve seen mixed reviews for the ShackBurger (£5.40 single, £8.50 double) online, which claim that their burgers are just a “glorified version of McDonald’s”, but why does that have to mean it’s a bad thing, right? The only things I’d nitpick about these were the lack of distinct flavour in the Shack secret sauce and the immoderate price!

In GBP, this would only do slight damage to your wallet. But if you’re like me and you use SGD…when you think of it, you’re paying at least $15 for this. And this is just ala carte. It’s crazy! But hey, since it’s for the experience, I can’t complain much. I still enjoyed it for what it was worth. (8.1/10)
