One time i was eating Arroz Caldo (rice porridge) and I was transported back to my youth! This time, with Max's legendary Golden Brown Fried Chicken, the taste is unmistakeable! This is the fried chicken of my early days.
I had this chicken for the first time when i was a youngster at the original Max's restaurant that was built in the 1940's back in Quezon City, Philippines. The crispy juicy thin chicken skin is perfectly fried golden brown. The meat is tender, never dry and always moist. I feel like a kid again when i bite into their fried chicken! Actually, all their Filipino dishes are top-notch and very authentically prepared: you'd feel like you were back in the Philippines!
This combo meal comes with rice and their signature chopsuey on a bed of crispy wrapper. The veggies are fresh and crunchy, not over cooked!
I highly would recommend eating at any Max's restaurant, most especially if your other than a Filipino because this is an experience you definitely need to immerse in! Filipino food at its core! Plus, chicken galore! (With some banana ketchup, SARAP!) Tag #foodforfoodies 🍧
