A second visit to @sevenlivesto was inevitable since I discovered how good their tacos were. This time, my brother Lennard and his wife Cheryl joined us. After a very long wait (partly because it was lunch hour when we arrived and partly because my order slip had mysteriously disappeared between the order counter and the kitchen), we fell upon our tacos like a pack of hungry wolves. Well, after the few seconds it took for me to take the photo above anyway 😆.
I’m happy to say the food was as awesome as I recall, and everyone else shares the same view about it too.
We ordered six tacos in total: one each of the Baja Fish (I was impressed to see that the piece of battered-and-fried-upon-order fish was really large), the Carnitas (braised pork shoulder), the Pulpo a la Mexicana (smoky and very tender grilled octopus with capsicums and white onions) and the Gobernador (Seven Lives’ signature of smoked marlin, shrimps and cheese). As for the Cabeza, the taco filled with beef cheek and head meat we ordered two. It turned out to be the unanimous favourite of us all.
