Recommended by my parents' friend, "Ba Shu Sichuan" at East Village turned out to be a real gem. We thoroughly enjoyed the three dishes we ordered to share at this casual eatery.
The signature grilled fish was extremely hot from "ma la" spices, and oily as well but that's to be expected with this style of cooking. We chose the sea bass which was medium in size but if you prefer a different fish, you can opt for the garoupa ($48++). Cabbage and bean sprouts were already included but there's a page full of items customers can pick (and pay) to have thrown in as well. So we decided to get the soft tofu and lotus root at $3.50++ each.
