If it's your first time at Zai Shun, you will be amazed by the vast array of dishes the kitchen churns out. You can call Zai Shun a chap chye png stall, a teochew mui stall or a tzichar stall and be correct. It seems to have a little bit of everything and yet does well in everything it does.

Zai Shun is famous for its fish dishes but you should not miss out on their braised pig trotters. For $10, you get a generously sized ter kah. The braising sauce can be a little stronger in taste but there's no faulting the tender and drop off the bone tenderness of the meat.
