Poulét - The Amazing Fresh Roast Chicken BUGIS

The amazing French roasted chicken. Initially we were quite skeptical to dine in here since there's no one in the restaurant. But we decided to give it a try since we were craving for some French dishes. We ordered the set for 2 for $67.56 which includes their truffle shoestring fries, a mushroom soup, signature half roast chicken with mushroom sauce, a chicken carbonara pasta and a homemade tiramisu and two cups of drinks.

The french roasted chicken indeed was their signature. The chicken was roasted so on point that the meat was literally falling of the bone, so tender, yet not overcooked. Since it was roasted, we were prepared for a dry chicken meat. The chicken itself was juicy, tender, and simply just pure joy. The acocmpanying cream was indeed creamy, light and couples well with the toasted chicken.

The mushroom soup was creamy, rich and comforting for the tummy. The toast croutons were just meant to be there. Honestly it was one of the best mushroom soups out there!

The tiramisu wasn't served in their classic jar probably because of COVID19 but it is still good! The thick dusting of cocoa powder definitely aided in the richness of the cake. The ratio of sponge to cream was essentially perfect, making the tiramisu close to perfect to indulge in.

Their carbonara was also great, but the portion might be too less to be a main meal. Since its not the niche of the restaurant, I'd leave it as it is. The truffle fries were served with a rich truffle aroma, and indeed, it was rich and coated with parmesan and truffle oil. It was intriguing, earthy and tastes just right.

Overall, we'd say that although it costed us $67.56, we were happy with the quality of the food we were served. We'd happily give it a rating of 8/10 for the food, but perhaps 7/10 for VFM! Definitely will be going back!
