Soon Soon Teochew Porridge is a well-known favourite among those who live in Kovan. Just simple, affordable, comfort food that tastes so homely, you can have it literally everyday.

My favourites on the table are the well-stewed cabbage and the ba chor. Terribly simple dishes to make, but it takes practice to achieve perfection. And to me, those dishes were perfect.
