JRC aims to be the one-stop Platform for Real Japan and Platform for Real Communication for residents in Singapore to find out more about Japan through food, retail products, and travel news.

Every month, JRC feature a special menu that is inspired by the month's featured region or prefecture’s signature dish utilizing ingredients specifically from that area.
This month of November, JRC special menu is featuring the Aomori Prefecture.

Aomori Prefecture is famous for two things: Ringo (apples) & Maguro (tuna). Located right at the northernmost point of the main island of Honshu in the Tohoku region, Aomori’s forested terrains and proximity to the Sea of Japan and Tsugaru Strait promise bountiful harvest of both aforementioned fruit and seafood!
.
🍱 Maguro Katsu Plate ($20 nett)
Enjoy the best of Aomori with fresh Tuna Katsu (breaded and deep-fried) accompanied delicately with JRC in-house apple daikon oroshi sauce. Complementing the plate’s regional taste is miso soup with Aomori scallops, as well as warabi mochi for dessert. ⭐⭐⭐
.
🍹Sparkling Aomo-ringo ($6.20 nett)
What’s an Aomori-themed meal without apples? Aomori Prefecture prides itself as Japan’s largest producer of apples! Contrary to popular belief, Fuji Apple is not named after Mt. Fuji nor was it a product of the area. Rather, it was developed and cultivated in Fujisaki city in Aomori! Offering a zesty twist to Aomori Apple Juice: Sparkling Aomo-ringo!⭐⭐⭐
