Miss K and I were feeling peckish after knocking off work really late one day when we chanced upon Hitoyoshi Yoshi Sushi.

The restaurant is part of a F&B group that runs ramen shops, yakiniku grills and izakaya and serves what can best be described as "Koh Sushi-style" food 😂😂😂

Their signature eponymous Yoshi Maki Bomb is a sushi roll with shrimp tempura topped with hokkaido scallop, mentaiko sauce and tobiko. We like that their shrimp tempura was freshly fried, juicy and crunchy and they were generous with the tobiko. The scallop were sliced a little too thinly for our liking.

The Yoshi Maki Bomb was good but was lacking an 'oomph' for it to be properly called "da bomb" and justify its pricier price tag.
