Ah, you can't say you've been to Taiwan if you didn't scoff down at least one (or three) of these deliciously sinful street snacks. This is my third visit to Taiwan and I can say with complete certainty that this particular zha dan cong you bing ('egg bomb' scallion pancake) is the absolute best I have ever had.

The perfectly fried egg with the half set yolk (so it doesn't explode all over you) enveloped by a thin crispy (and not too starchy) onion pancake. 🤤 Take me back to Hualien now.

They sell it with / without chilli sauce. I like it without.
