Let’s pause for a moment and just focus on the bread and butter served at the beginning of every meal here. Because, clearly, it is something that’s taken very seriously at Beni. Lucky us.
There’s a total of four kinds of bread: a mini baguette, the cutest croissant ever and two flavoured creations - one of gruyere cheese and the other, shimeji mushroom. As though that’s not enough to send carb-lovers into a frenzy, they’re accompanied by a big pat of incredible butter and three kinds of salt - matcha, chilli and charcoal. And then to top it off, the little drawstring bag that holds the breads were handsewn by Head Chef Kenji’s mother.
I think you’ll agree with me that Restaurant Beni’s efforts is best expressed in the wise Singlish phrase: “#WinLiao”.
