Loved the interpretation of traditional Cantonese dishes! Had several dishes - roasted meats for starters, shark's fin soup, braised vegetables, deep fried soon hock, ee fu noodle, and mango sago for dessert. The starter was my favourite - steamed chicken was tender and flavourful, duck was tender with crisp skin, and the char siew was lean and delicious! Another notable dish was the shark's fin soup, not because I have a personal belief on avoiding it if possible, but because the broth was thick and creamy, the consistency of tonkotsu soup bases used in ramen. First time tasting such a take on shark's fin soup. Apart from the fins, there was a har gao and one stalk of vegetable in there as well. Adding vinegar and pepper to the soup gave it more body and made it tastier. I must also commend the deep fried soon hock (fish dish) - skin was fried to crispy perfection, and the flesh was soft, tender and smooth. Drizzled generously with soy sauce, it was lovely. Didn't quite like the ee fu noodles as I felt I had better ones elsewhere, but it tasted much nicer after adding chilli sauce to it. Vegetables were well-flavoured with the savory sauce and mushrooms were soft and juicy. The mango pomelo was creamy and sweet - one can hardly go wrong with that, so that was yummy! Service was excellent too! Would definitely recommend this place!
