A warm & sourish desserts that send a shock to your tastebud the instant you have it. The sourness is strong here.
An exquisite starter. Trout was smooth and tender. This dish is an art. Look at that black thing which resembles like a duck swimming in a pond.🤣
Savour a taste of the Nærøyfjord to get a feel of what the local ate here.
A good deal for people who can't decide what to eat and the price is cheaper too.

Deer tenderloin, carrot puree, kale and apple salsa and blackcurrant sauce
Deer meat was served on a heated plate, together with creamy carrot puree, earthy mushrooms and various garnishes. Meat was tender, a tad gamey, dry and natural. Seasoning needs to be added to improve taste.

Tangy sweet dessert with crumbs. Comes with a mini meringue. Yummm...
Felt that the oyster were kinda small but at least they tasted fresh, decent & slurpy. Came in four preparation, which were: red onion vinaigrette, apple cider, Thai style & natural. I like the natural one the most.
Splendid meal by the fjord. Dining the finest food while looking upon the calming water and the charming mountains. A sense of serenity wiggle thru my every vein, enjoying and relaxing every moment the great Mother Nature is providing.😌🗻
Gudvangen, from the Old Norse, means God's place by the sea and I can see why it was given this name. Just swipe to the last few images and you can feel it too. By the way, its just 30 seconds walk away from my room only.
Everyday here, I had a ritual of gazing into the fjord and connect the emotions from it. The burden from the chaotic world just seems to be washed away, leaving you at a state of tranquility.
Its a peaceful place to be, away from the crowd, the noise and the rush.🤗

Monkfish, bacon, tomato sauce fried capers and mashed potatoes(349 NOK)😋
Monkfish was fantastic! Had the similar texture of lobster. The meat was chewy, meaty & springy. With each bite, savoury juice flowing out from it. Comes with earthy mushroom and yummy mashed potato.
