I almost always order tuna when I see it in US. But was disappointed that my tuna wasn't cooked till medium, but well done instead D< The mango salsa, roasted red peppers and zucchinis made up for it though.
This was the first food that I ate when I first visited US 6 years ago. 6 years later, it still taste as good. Soft flour tortilla with pinto beans, babarcuo(spicy pulled beef), tomato salsa, lettuce and cheese w sour cream and guacamole on the side is just heavenly.
Initially intended for some good steaks tonight. But it was a rainy 6 degree day, and that spoilt our plans. Ended up at the all American Bob Evans and ordered one of their favourites. The turkey was thin and not great. But the soft roasted carrots and baked sweet potatoes really added warmth on this cold night!
Finally some asian food. A westernized korean food bar. So you pick your rice and vege and meat. I love the mixed grain with barley and sorghum and all. Although the spicy korean chilli isn't spicy at all and this taste a bit more Americanized. It's still nice to have rice after so long.
Back to my fav bagel place, because this is seriously the nearest eating place to my workplace.Asiago Parmesan bagel with garlic cream cheese, roasted turkey ham, lettuce, onion & sundried tomatoes. Look at how much turkey there is! The guy that served me was a huge guy. Guess I look like a small asian girl that needs more meat 😂 love the flavour the sun dried tomatoes add to everything!
Having some green froyo for Saint Patrick's Day. It's just mint froyo! Got to love self serve froyo where I can choose my fav toppings. It's getting warmer nowadays and this makes for a great treat ☺️
I ordered a egg, pastrami, Swiss bagel but switched out the Swiss cheese for a salmon cream cheese. I must say although the salmon was pungent initially, it went really well with the pastrami! Got to love the pumpernickel bagel as well, had a very nice bite. I might be having a bit too much burgers and bagel over here...
Chanced upon this burger joint after a meeting. Have you ever had a burger infused w soda before? Their sauces are made with soda, which added a nice flavour to the burger. Got to love their freshly flipped burger patties as well! There must be something abt waffle fries that make them taste better. Now I think I'm having a burger too many over here...
My potatoes, cabbage and carrots were so huge that it totally covered my corned beef. Other than the scarily huge potatoes, the corned beef was quite tasty! Love the roasted vegetables. And of course what is southern food without biscuits and corn bread. I rmb their biscuits used to be better last time but their corn bread is certainly still as good.
One of my favourite froyo places! (And it's 1/3 the price in US compared to SG. ) 12 different flavours with flavours like key lime pie, pecan praline and Oreo. More than 20 toppings with fresh fruits and others like cheese cake and cookie dough. Plus you can put marshmallow creme and Reese fudge as well 😱😱😱 just so good! And check out the cute colour changing cup that has colour when it's cold!
Such a good way to energise myself for the rest of the day. :D a healthy lunch! Love the soup! It contains kidney beans and minced beef and has a spicy kick. Was surprised to have such a spicy soup in US. Perfect for the rainy day today.
Decided to try this because it was touted as traditional and they use wild blackberries in the Shanandoah Mountains. Boy was it good! The blackberry ice cream went very well with the graham crust and meringue! (Actually this is in Virginia rather than North Carolina)
