Dim Sum🍤 Paradise
Top ingredients used, but where is my salted egg?
It’s the most delicious vegetarian dim sum item ever.
Really juicy and succulent cut. Not the salty type but I would prefer the skin to have a more natural roasted crisp then a fried texture ( not many people I think can understand this).
And if you think open face sandwich is the trend setter, think again. This Bao establishment is no new kids on the block, but it's Bao not only comes in a great variety but are both creative in their names and the ingredients used e.g 雞豬精 bun which sounds like "蜘蛛" or spider! Bao包子 is a traditional staple in ancient china. The transformation itself is already invigorating and something I think . This one featured is my favourite (chicken chunks, egg yolk, mushroom and a slice of Chinese sausage) which sets you thinking of how it would look like, serving half a bun, which is indeed so. A very ingenious way to share an otherwise too big a bun to divulge alone.
A visually appealing fusion dim sum item, but maybe more. Actually the chili crab gravy is really nice and authentic which perhaps is a teaser of what they can do on the actual dish it self. Certainly more than befitting when you need that chili crab fix in the morning!
The way siew mai ought to be. Simple, fresh ingredients, freshly steamed. Each of BlackSociety's siew mai comes with a fresh shrimp skillfully seared for its tail to comes through the body like a little knot, which opens up nicely like a blossom on top of these dumplings.
Not your usual mini abalones, these abalone are nicely bite/right-size that rest on the tart pastry filled with black truffle. Big enough to get the texture and taste, but small enough to leave you feeling unfulfilled and wanting for more...
A fried pastry with minced mushroom and pork. Not a usual dim sum item these days, due to the use of lye water in moderations
