Egg Benedict $16.50 has no wow factor. Sour plum like soda $4.50 is worth a taste. Lychee cupcake $3+ has a special combination of sweetness and sourness from the yoghurt topping. Product knowledge from the waitress are bad. U will get blank stare when u asked about the availability of the food.
My childhood ice cream/sng bao place become an old Skool cafe. Back to memory lane. Petty no air con.
Blueberry tea $6.50 - smooth; not sour unlike some blueberry tea I had tried before 👍 with Nutella malt cake $7.90 - very sweet, not much Nutella taste. 👎
apizilla slush $7.50 each cup.
Back at Waffles Slayer to try one out of the two Savory waffles, featured in this picture; the Squid Ink waffles ($18.90) with candied bacon, topped with a scoop of icy cool vanilla gelato and finally garnished with thin, crispy pistachio tuiles.
This inviting savory waffle is more than meets the eye. Both sweet and savory are here. I would say yum to savory, but some others may said yuck, because they like them sweet of course. I'd go back right again if I could, but I should have some self discipline though. Enough of waffling for the time being.
Finally made my way to Oblong for the highly raved Red Velvet Waffles!
Watching the horses and having brunch on a Sunday morning.
First saw this on a local food TV programme, had forgotten about it until a friend mentioned it again. Perfect timing since we happened to be in the area today. Interesting old-school feel, pretty tasty (and retro) western pastries/cakes, but don't expect anything out of this world.
