Hawker Heroes
The sauce here is not as thick and gooey as the one at Scissors Cut and I personally prefer the latter. But the chicken chop here is the true winner.
Besttt laksa in sg. I like that its thick yet not gelat. And gravy is really smooth without all the hei bi. And there's no hum inside also. Only tau pok slices, shreds of chicken and fish cake. But sooo satisfying!
Brisk business for Wow Wow West, a western food stall at ABC market. The chicken chop was not too bad though I wished the sauce would be thicker. But pretty good for a hawker standard.
A pretty famous stall but was disappointed by it. The rice just smelled and tastes burnt.
A nice plate of hokkien mee consists of moist yellow noodle and beehoon soaked full of stock and chili that gives it an extra kick. This plate nailed it all.
A combination of black and white carrot cake. But the black wins hands down for this. Bestttt black carrot cake so far it's like caramelized! Sweet, crispy and slightly charred. The white one, on the other hand, lacks the fragrance though still quite crispy
Definitely one of the best carrot cake I've had! It's crispy and every bit of it is beautifully coated with egg. The fragrance of the egg lingers in your mouth; you can't help but to reach out for more!
Queued close to half an hour for this..noodles is springy and eggy. The sauce is what makes it special. Mildly sweet and thoroughly soaked by the noodles. Ordered a plate of fried wanton as well but it's very ex. $6.50 for a plate of probably..8 fried wantons..? Still, this wanton mee is worth trying before Lavender Food Square closes soon.
The springy noodles tossed in the chilli and vinegar mixture is so tasty, I gobbled this in 10 minutes!
Went back to Hoe Nam again because its too awesome! Tried the pork ribs one this time as well and it's really tender! The ngor hiang opp is pretty famous as well and almost every table waiting for the prawn noodles had ngor hiang on their table! And it sure tastes great!
