So fresh it was melting in my mouth
Pretty good. Chirashi with Kazunoko (数の子), Dried Persimmon, Uni, Ikura, Sashimi and lovely seaweed flecked Sushi-meshi vinegared rice (鮨飯) at Santaro at Hinoki. Slightly expensive at $65++.
I would say that Fukuichi's version of Chirashi is value for money. Priced at $35, you get ebi, hotate and other fresh seafood at reasonably cut slices. Not the best of Chirashi I had, but worth a try if you are around town or somerset area.
My fave Chirashi second to AOKI. I love the generous portion of the seafood at The Sushi Bar. The aburi salmon was the main highlight, you can actually order ala carte for the aburi salmon. The only upset here is the long waiting queue, as they do not accept reservations.
Best. Chirashi. Ever.
Fresh, affordable sashimi straight from Tsukiji market. Can't go wrong with that.
What awesome tastes like.
I requested salmon and hamachi. Very generous serving. Sushi rice below.
If you've been dying to try Teppei's famous chirashi, you'll be glad to know they've added one more outlet to their empire. Newly opened at the basement of Takashimaya, get the Kaisen Don to taste what the hype is all about, and see if you're partial to this style. To some, the marinade might be a little salty, but to others, it's pure bliss. Head over before the queues go crazy!
