Recently I discovered Nuldam Space from Korea had opened a new outlet at *SCAPE. Very cozy and relaxing. The cafe had an unique concept that invites diners to write a letter to be read the following year. You can purchase the letter set which includes envelope, stamp, postcard, and sealing wax at the cafe. Need at least 4 days to be posted.

The cafe offers a range of vegan food and drinks on the menu.
Vegan Nuldam Black Sesame Cream Latte (S$9)
Served iced and one of signature drinks on the menu. More on the sweet side, the grainy texture of the black sesame, making it a complex drink.

Sweet Potato Vegan Layered Cake ($8.90)
Among the displayed cakes and croissants, this one caught my eyes, because it got sweet potato in it. I think I never had a sweet potato cake before. More on the sweet side but distinct sweet potato taste. Light and moist too.

This Christmas the cafe offered Joguman X Nuldam Christmas Edition Jumbo Macarons. Each box consisted of 4 individual packed pieces. Available in Blueberry Cream Cheese, Matcha Brownie, and Injeolmi Chocolate. Quite big in size. Can’t finish in a mouthful.

Strawberry purée, topped with fresh milk, matcha, and cloud milk foam.
Not too sweet, while rich and creamy.

From MR. Sun Egg Pancake 太阳先生鸡蛋糕 menu, we tried
Biscoff Flavour 焦糖饼干口味 and Creamy Cheese Flavour 芝士口味 which were priced at S$7.50/ 4 pieces.
Love the thin crispy crust while moist and soft inside, especially the creamy cheese one!

Recently visited this Chinese style casual restaurant which was located in 313 @ Somerset. The place was in decorated in traditional Chinese style and specialize in rice noodle dishes. Place your order at the cashier and wait for your order to call out when ready for collection.

清炖牛肉粉 Stewed Beef Rice Noodle (S$13.80)
Selected thick rice noodle for this noodle which reminded one of udon but in a very soft and silky way. The broth was light but flavourful. Served with 熟牛肉片 cooked beef slices, 牛肚片 beef tripe, and 清炖牛肉 stewed beef. The meat was very tender without gamey taste. I usually avoid beef tripe as it tended to be quite chewy but here it was very tender.

红烧小羊排粉 Spicy Stewed Lamb Ribs Rice Noodle (S$14.80)
The chunky lamb was super tender and there was not a hint of gamey taste. Selected thin rice noodle for this dish which was similar to the common thick bee Hoon but in a more silky way.

Accompanied with
HOT 炸羊肉串 Deep Fried Lamb Skewers (S$9.80/ 3 串 skewers)
It looked dry but was surprisingly tender without gamey taste hints of spices.

HOT 红糖糍粑 Glutinous Rice Cakes (S$5.80/ 4 条 pieces)
Freshly deep fried upon order. Very chewy inside, covered with a thin crispy layer, topped with syrup and soya bean powder. Best to share ‘cos one piece was very filling.

Washed down the meal with refreshing 自制山楂乌梅水 Homemade Hawthorn Berry Drink (S$3/ cup)

Don’t forget to help yourself to the pickled vegetables, chilli sauce, chilli flakes, and vinegar at the condiment bar.

It may looked simple but the different textures made it a hit with the little one.

The place was hipster looking. Dim lighted place with bright pink neon lights, plus cheeky paintings on the walls and light bulbs housed in bird cages hanging from the ceiling. Order was taken through iPad. One could scan the QR code on the table to order too.

Explosive presentation with lots of smoke. Love the thin crust on the meat.

Wok Hei Fried Rice with Roast Pork Crunchies (S$8++)
Could taste the wok hei. Well cooked although would be better if served pipping hot.

White Surf Clams in Savory Tonkotsu Broth Bee Hoon (2 pax Sharing) (S$12.50++)
Lots of Lala in it. Very umami in taste with the rice vermicelli soaked up the Flavours. There’s even crispy sole fish in it.

Seafood Curry Mama (S$10.80++)
Mama Mee topped with fish dumplings, prawn, raw egg, and sliced onion, in curry gravy. Got old school feel.

If you love the roast meat at Roast Paradise, then you will find the roast meat here similar, as Fook Kin is a collaboration with The Muttons from Class 95 FM, burger joint Fat Boys and Roast Paradise.

Well caramelised meat served with a sweet savoury dip.

The fatty meat was served with mustard sauce. Love the crust.

In sweet sour plum sauce (si mei sauce)
Love the juicy meat. Could opt for boneless version when placing order through the app.

Braised Broccoli & Shimeji Mushroom (S$12.30++)
The mushroom was well cooked except for the broccoli which was slightly more raw than preferred.
