Holy people. Shiberty just brought the ice-cream and waffles game to a whole new level. Topped with generous amount of berries, two scoops of sea salt caramel & vanilla ice-cream; along with a touch of maple honey drizzle and gold flakes, its buttermilk waffles ($14) is too good to be true. Their waffles was a combination of fluffy goodness with a crisp on the outside. What's more, the ice-cream was amazing. It's been so long since I had the such amazing ice cream and waffles!
Topped with homemade ice cream, maple syrup and berries, the Classic Waffle ($11.90) was fluffy and light.
The creamy quiche was the palate pleaser of the day. However, not the same could be said for the overly sweet hot cross bun and lack-luster fruit tart. I could get better fruit tart at a normal bakery.
When Holy Cow just opened, it created quite a stir among the yishun peeps. Finally a ice-cream cafe in Yishun! Well, the Honeycomb ice cream ($3/ scoop) didn't fail up to expectations. Try their sorbets if you are going for something light!
By itself, the soft serve ($6.50) was pretty good. Had the Thai Milk Tea last time round but it's no longer available if you go now :( However, they do have a new flavour - lavender. Gosh, and their waffles look pretty neat too.
Every since my experience with coconut ice cream in Thailand, I've been exploring Singapore for the same coconut goodness i enjoyed in Thailand. This coconut soft serve ($5) was really on point with the flavour and the touch of shredded coconut chips just elevated the entire experience!
If you're the kind of person who loves homemade pastries & froyo, Milk & Honey will be your new bae. Rather than having the fixed signatures parfait, i prefer to customise my own yogurt. Talk about being assertive! At just $6.80, you get to choose 4 toppings ranging from macarons, cakes to fruits. Why are people still queuing for the L brand?
"Woahhh" went my mom when the pretty mountain of stacked shaved iced, melon balls & a scoop of creamy vanilla ice-cream came towards our way. While it's instagram-worthy, this Melon Bingsu ($20++) is definitely loaded with tons of sugar. Be prepared to gulp tons of water!
Milk & Honey serve artisan yogurts at slightly upscale prices as compared to the usual froyos in Singapore. Their unique toppings to choose from definitely speaks for the higher price that you are paying. Choose from homemade macaroons, baked goods to fresh fruits and so much more. Come on, how often do you see macarons as a yogurt toppings. And i've got to say, they can bake damn mean macarons and almond tuiles!
Strong shot of baileys flavour in this tiny cup ($6.90). The chocolate ice-cream helped to further thickened the chocolate flavor. Alert: You definitely need water after such a rich and decadent cup of chocolate goodness.
Loved the powder and the smooth shaved ice! It maybe one of the cheaper bingsu option ($11.90) at O'ma Spoon, but it's one of my favourite!
Tucked away in the second floor of Orchard Shopping Centre, KUVO is the quaint little breather from all the hustle & bustle of Orchard Road. Walk into the restaurant and be memerised by the elegant decor & ambience. If you love canapes and sweets, you can't miss their high tea set ($35++) which comes in a 3-tiered refillable stand, accompanied with an array of nibbles' buffet spread.
