Dessert
Know this isn't a swanky restaurant but had no such expectation either. Our orders were: Chicken Rice and Mee Siam. Mee Siam took forever to arrive (approximately 16min) in a fairly empty restaurant. Egg (in photo) was peeled so badly it looked like a mess. Wasn't sure if I should eat it. Chicken rice was bland. Chicken meat was cold, hard and dry. Portions are all small. Our neighbour's fries looked like cardboard and he barely touched them. Probably not a fan of cardboard. Sadly I'll have to avoid this establishment in future.
The savoury crepe (ham and cheese - pictured) while good, isn't really the best of it's kind. But their Yuzu Butter crepe (not pictured) with vanilla ice cream is truly one of the best dessert crepes I've had in recent times. If ur into dessert crepes, you gotta try it.
Easily the best and most authentic Italian gourmet pizza I've ever had in Singapore. I've been to many parts of Italy and had the real thing, so saying that is something (seriously though, good pizza in Italy is not really a fair comparison anyway). Pictured: Their take on Hawaiian pizza and Beef roast pizza. They're slightly under 20 bucks a pizza. Two pizzas are more than enough for a couple's dinner. Bill came up to ~$70 with dessert and drinks of course. I wouldn't recommend it to people without access to a car however.
Just snatched some post pizza dessert. Not too shabby. So if you're at La Pizzaiola for pasta or pizza, don't hesitate to wash it all down with some good ol' Panna Cotta which turned out to be more than decent.
Finally get to tried the highly raved Matcha Azuki Beans Honey Toast $19.90. Toast was crispy, matcha ice cream frm Haagen Dazs was better. Azuki beans could have been more generous. But for now, nothing beats After You ๐โ๐ป๏ธ
Not the best pancakes, but not too shabby either. Unsure whether it is, but the pancakes' texture feel like they're processed. A little dry and hard. The cream topping however is fresh and real tasty. Not overly tasty as with most creams slathered over pancakes (or waffles for that matter).
Awfully Chocolate's Hei Chocolate Ice Cream is (and probably will) always my fave take on dark choc ice cream. Their chocolate mille crepe is good, but it certainly isn't the best (esp when compared to the likes of Lady M or First Love @ Ion).
The dessert crepes at Le Comptoir were at least a 7/10. At
