Thai
Price: S$8.9
The kind of pad thai that has a smokiness to it, which was what I liked about this. It can be a little sweet, if that's what you are looking for in pad thai. This serving is definitely for sharing.

This is probably the most magical Thai experience you can ever get in SG.
Thai Tantric is nestled deep in the bosom of Orchid Towers, where you have to navigate through a sleazy maze of bars overflowing with questionable ladies, question your own womanhood given how you look like a 12-yr old pubescent girl compared to them, avoid equally questionable men lining up at the bars and ATM, and also avoid touching anything because you forgot to bring hand sanitizer.
Basically everything is questionable. Except for the green chicken curry!
I can't even believe this. Best curry I've had. The sauce is a blend of creamy and milky and spicy. All i want is 2 huge mounds (sleazy reference not intended) of rice all by myself and the sauce. I don't even care about the chicken. I just want the sauce.
I seriously recommend this from the bottom of my heart. But bring someone with you.
By the way, this works better if you also get the Moo Tod Kra Theam (fried pork). Creamy curry + crispy juice pork = OH MY GOD JUST DO IT.

It may be that my expectations are naively low, but I when I stepped into Bangkok Jam one lazy Friday night and ordered phad thai just because I was too lazy to look through the menu, I didn't expect it to taste authentic.
Bangkok Jam seem to have committed right into the flavor of thai food and they are triumphant. The noodles are bodly nutty with that tangy flavor that I never understood where it comes from.
Now let me shut up before I start sounding like a car salesman.
