Tried their new lunch menu and went for the Chirashi don. Good quality seafood that includes tuna, salmon aburi and prawns. Good value for money. Will come again!

An affordable, delicious vegetarian option. They offer dishes and your regular cai fan options. Love the bean curd skin & tau foo. So fresh. Super time efficient too! Thanks team for the find.

Really good option for Indonesian food! The portions are just right and there’s a real good kick with the chili. (7.5/10)

They were rated 'divine' by makansutra many years back. I believe they're now run by the next generation. Having said that, I really enjoyed this. Chicken pieces were generous and juicy, not the chunky kind. It went really well with delicious, yet not heavy kind of curry broth. They also serve chicken rice which is also better than your regular ones!

Good alternative if you're not looking to have Tai Hwa noodles. It's as good as it gets for a $9 steak. I'll recommend you going for medium doneness even though you like it medium rare. It comes with 2 sides and the servings are generous. Get the pasta and garden vegetables for a good mix! Satisfies my lunch steak cravings affordably.

Gotta be my favorite poke bowl so far. The fish is really fresh compared to others and generous in servings. I'll be back again when I'm in the CBD area.

If you're really hungry, order this and dip it into the ramen broth. You won't regret it!

My favorite starter was the Cauliflower. Packed full of flavor with the cider vinegar cream and cured egg yolk. Simple yet so good.

For my main course. I enjoyed the firm yet loose texture of the meat, while you bring up the unavoidable comparison with the Barramundi at Cheek by Jowl. Leaves me thinking a lot about that experience.

I've got this as a starter to my 2-course set lunch. As straightforward the name goes, this is raw beef. The sprinkled prawn powder gave a nice umami touch to the rawness. Not bad at all! Pro-tip: make a reservation on Burpple before you head down.

Healthy servings of ribeye. Enjoyed how the honey glazed carrots went with the sautéed mushrooms and onsen egg. Please add the ninja rice for a fulfilling meal.

Teochew braised duck rice seems to the 'cleaner' when compared to the hokkien version, which is sweeter and loaded with thick sauce and braised peanuts. They're different so don't compare the 2 directly! The duck at Ah Xiao felt a little tough to me but the chili there is fantastic. A good choice if you're craving for duck rice without the penalty of the afternoon nap struggle.
