As with the milo volcano kakigori, I hated everyone I had to share this with lol. Seriously, it's that good, you won't wanna share.

The toast is perfectly baked and crispy golden on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. It's "cut" into nine cubes and the inner sides of each cube is very very well-buttered. For all of you butter lovers like me out there, this is for you. And then with that maple syrup.. That rich buttery salty and sweet warmth of a toast, I swear I had died and gone to heaven and reincarnated into a perfectly happy baby with each bite.

Side note: Strangely enough, I actually preferred the toast without any of that ice cream and whipped cream, just buttered toast and maple syrup. Also, they've got this free flow osmanthus (?) tea that's just the perfect subtle floral sweetness against these insanely sweet desserts.

So this is the fourth time I'm eating in the 10 hours since we had landed and it's desserts time baby! Milo lovers we are, milo volcano kakigori we had! And omg is this shit good. It's also one hell of a mess, another perfect first date option I say. I thought I was full (you'd have thought so too if you had seen how much I had been eating) but after the first mouth, I was starving. Hello second stomach!

The kakigori was shaved so thin and smooth, it was like snow. Ok, not snow. I've never seen snow before but on pictures, it looks kind of rough and clumpy and dirty like a dirty white if that makes sense. This was nothing like that. Perfectly soft and smooth and a creamy white heaven.. Seriously do yourself a favour and just try it ok? And oh that blend of textures, cold soft smooth creamy kakigori, sweet chocolaty malty milo powder, chewy cake inside and crunchy biscuit and thick gooey milo sauce, mmmm..

My only problem with this? I absolutely hated that I had to share this with seven other people. I'm guessing they were secretly unhappy to be sharing too. Don't remember how much it cost but whatever it was, it sure was worth it.

Pro tip: Save some of that milo sauce for halfway through so you don't have to eat the kakigori plain. And if you love your sweets like me, don't even think of sharing this.

I still stand by not wasting your time in restaurants when in bkk. Only stopped by here cause half of us had already eaten but the other half had only just landed. That aside, this place is not bad for restaurants although the tom yam was a little on the sweet side and the green curry could do with more chilli.

I was totally mia for the longest time, because travels, Myanmar then bkk. So in bkk, sabx2 wanton mee wasn't the first thing we had though it was pretty close to it, since we had landed at 1 am and went for supper at 3 am and then queued for sabx2 at 8 am when they opened.

It's as good as I remembered it and as packed with Singaporeans and other foreigners with the only locals being the cooks and waiters, as I had remembered. My all-time favourite wanton mee is our kok kee wanton mee and this ranks first beside that. No other wanton mee ranks second or third or fourth, only lasts. So just these two up there. That's saying a lot.

Some people complain about how bland and dry the noodles are, quite the contrary, I don't think it's bland at all? Very flavourful in fact imo. Perfectly salted and the dryness is just perfect too. And that light coating of oil, is it sesame? Omg, packs so much flavour those damn seeds and their oil. And the chilli flakes.. And would I forget to mention the crispy goodness of that pork lard? Mmmm.. So good we had it twice in four days.

The pig trotters though, pales in comparison. I don't understand why everyone I went with that day insisted that it's a must. Oh well, to each his own. I'd save every baht and spend it on the noodles instead lol.

Side note: They open at 9 but get there early like 8 to queue. The second time we went during those four days though, we went late like 1145 and there was absolutely no queue. But just a few minutes after we were seated, a queue reemerged. And while seated, we had to wait forever for our noodles.
