Brinjal, long beans, petai and lady finger stir-fried in a homemade sambal chilli paste that was flavourful but not too spicy. Loved the generous addition of crispy ikan bilis!
Thank you @yishikitchen.sg for having us! ✨
Leaning more to the fatty side, these slices of pork cheek were grilled to a light smokiness. Well-balanced with the tangy homemade sauce!
Thank you @enjoyeatinghouse for having us and @burpple for the kind invite! ✨
Unassuming name, looks and ingredients but was so addictive that we got another plate. 😂 Good wok hei with just the right balance of savoury and sweet. A tad bit pricey though.

Kai Xiang’s signature fried eggs with oysters is pricier than the usuals at $10 for just the smallest portion, but it’s bound to impress - look at them plump oysters!! There were 17 of them & yes, I counted HAHAHA. Unlike the more common starchy oyster omelettes, they only serve this full-eggs version. The omelette had nice crispy edges and was well seasoned, while the oysters were creamy and briny. It’s a great side for sharing! It’s also available at $14 and $18 for the medium and large portions.
Actually ordered their Anchovies Fried Rice but was served this instead. It was a decent plate in a sizeable portion, though a teeny bit under seasoned. Bigger portions are available at $8 and $12.
Loved the crispy skin and juicy meat, but it wasn’t as strong in its prawn paste flavour. It’s also available in bigger portions at $14 and $18!
Got to say we were pretty impressed, especially since it was a food delivery and we didn’t tuck in immediately! Had the Lemongrass Pork Ribs 香茅排骨 ($18.80/$28.80), Stone Pot Wine Lala 石锅黄酒啦啦 ($18.80/$28.80) and Xin Long Xing Prawn Cake 新龙兴虾饼 ($15.80) - our preferred picks are the first two!
Thank you @xinlongxingsg for this! 🙆🏻♀️
Our cholesterol high seafood spread at Wok Master - ma la seafood platter, lala bee hoon, chilli crab & crab bee hoon soup! They had pretty decent zi char dishes in a nice air con environment for gatherings. City Square Mall’s Power Up Your Appetite campaign is also on-going here till the end of the month and Wok Master is serving up a few promo set meal deals that are pretty worth it. More deets on the mall’s website!

Liked how thick and gao the chilli crab sauce was with a generous mix of eggs. Crabs were rather fresh and meaty and they serve mantou for dipping too! Current promo: $48 for 2 crabs, $65 for 3.

Haven’t actually seen something like this before. We were served a wooden tub of lobsters in broth, and a plate of crispy rice pieces. What you have to do is to pour the plate of rice in, mix it up and enjoy it like a porridge! The savory broth here studded with bits of mushroom was the most flavourful we had among the rest. Lobster chunks were tender and juicy, but the portion of rice could be a little more.
Thank you @citysquaremall & @kenpgl for the invite! ✨
Decent version of lala bee hoon - clams were pretty plump but I thought the sweetness of the clams could come through just a little more in the beehoon. City Square Mall is having their Power Up Your Appetite promo until 31st July - you can get this Lala Bee Hoon with a drink at $9.90 till then!

A popular zi char favourite, Wok Master’s was pretty decent. Our crabs were meaty and fresh, it was easy to de-shell to get to the meat. Broth was kinda average for me as it was quite light and more milky - I’m a fan of the more sinful and heavy savory broths, so I guess it depends on your preference!
