Mont Blanc Soufflé ($9.80)
.
This chestnut soufflé from @tamagoen_sg was surprisingly good. Ultra fluffy and light pancakes sandwiching cream and sweet chestnut bits with chestnut paste drizzled on top of more cream.

J ($13.50)
Koide ($10.50)
Teh ($9.50)
Fromage ($13.50)
.
Newly reopened @kkisweets located at Raffles Hotel is yet another level up from their previous spaces at An Siang and SOTA. Be greeted with a minimalist space of japanese accents and lots of green with relaxing soft music in the background. The available cakes are more like art pieces, each painstakingly assembled only upon your arrival. My favourite art piece is the J resembling a flowerpot and carrying flavours of black sesame, yuzu and matcha. My favourite in terms of taste is definitely Teh which is an earl grey and hazelnut cake and pear compote. All the cakes weren’t overly sweet and paired well with sencha tea. Reservations for seats and the cake selection is required prior to visiting.

Elijah Pies ($23/box)
.
For peeps wanting pretty and delicious pies, @elijahpies is a great choice. Each bitesize pie may be petite in appearance but delivers an impressive flavour burst. I also really loved the designs of the pies. My personal favourite has to be the wildberry lavender pie. It is not too sweet with traces of berry swirls and floral scent. Their pies also come in large sizes so you can try out the flavours from this sampling box first before deciding.

Sakura Smoke Artichoke & Pear Compote
.
Awesome new gelato kid in the hood serving up very unique flavours @gelatolabo . Think this sakura smoked artichoke & pear compote. The smokiness really hits the tastebuds and the savouriness of this flavour is balanced by that sweetness from the pear. I would say this is one of the few places I actually have a keen interest to try all the flavours. We also had the Columbian cold brew with cookie butter bits and the bitterness of the coffee complemented the sweetness of the bits perfectly. Definitely have a go at the lavender cone too ($1.40). The floral aroma is very distinct. So whilst the flavours are great, I do feel that the texture of the gelato can be worked on as it falls on the crumbly end of the spectrum. The cone may also be a bit too thin so while it is definitely freshly made and crispy, it loses its crunch quickly with 2 scoops of ice cream sitting in it.

Double Scoop ($6.70)
.
Another BOP-esque concept @sweetcheeks.sg so went for the full experience by ordering their honey chrysanthemum with cacao nibs and hazelnut with nutella swirl. Loved the refreshing taste of the chrysanthemum but felt that the nutella was lacking in the hazelnut.

Vanilla Flan Danish ($5)
Iced Mocha ($7)
.
Reopened @brotherbird_coffeehouse now serves coffee and desserts in a chill laidback space. Perfect for unwinding the weekend away. Mocha is refreshing and danish is not too sweet. Loving the vibes here

Signature Souffle Pancake ($20.50)
.
This is probably the best and prettiest souffle pancake I have eaten. Everything was just the right amount of proportion. Souffle pancake is airy and fluffy like a pillow drenched in aromatic vanilla whipped cream. Skip the queue at a certain chainy souffle pancake cafe and just head over here for this. I love how after having this, I don’t get a sugar overload. The granola and mixed berries also help to cut any heaviness from the pancake.
.
Thanks @burpple for this #burppleeatup and @walkingonsunshine.sg for hosting this meal.

Your Mango Super Pudding ($10.90)
.
For serious mango and thai dessert lovers, @yenlyyourssingapore is an easy choice. The mango super pudding came served with freshly sliced thai mango, a scoop of warm sticky rice drizzled with coconut milk and topped with yellow bean crisps and a super loaded mango pudding topped with mango ice cream. Forget nata de coco, the mango pudding was packed with fresh mango chunks instead. Overall a very satisfying choice dessert.

Double Scoop ($8)
.
Newly opened @monarchsandmilkweedgelato in the hood brings about a Birds of Paradise vibe with its earthy decor and unique flavours. Think rhubard buttermilk, tahitian vanilla and brown butter sage. We went for the ispahan and hazelnut. Hazelnut is velvety smooth and not overly sweet. Ispahan was aromatic with lychee bits and raspberry swirl

Cookies ‘n Cream Supreme ($20)
.
Like a hipster hairdo, the cookies ‘n cream crazy shake lives up to being crazy. This sugar-laden shake is literally not meant for the fainthearted and needs to be shared amongst 3 or maybe even 4. Topped with a gigantic cookies and cream sandwich that has been stacked with loads of cream stuck on with more whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. Worth a try once. Just once.

Nyonya Chendol w Red Bean ($2)
.
Nothing like a bowl of icy chendol after a hearty lunch to keep cool. Loving this bowl from Nyonya Chendol at redhill market for its thick gula melaka and coconut cream although Jin Jin’s power chendol is still my favourite. This bowl could do with more gula melaka. Because this is the nyonya style which doesn’t come with red bean, any addition of ingredients besides the green jelly would incur additional costs.

Lana Chocolate Cake ($49 for 1.1kg)
.
@lovelanacakes Probably the best chocolate cake in SG. My favourite at the very least with Chocolate Origin coming in a close 2nd. So moist with a thick velvety chocolate fudge layer. Only gripe is the inconvenience to get my hands on one.
