Quest To Find The Best Waffle In Singapore!!
Randomly stumble upon this cafe nearby Tai Seng mrt. Decided to try their crispy buttermilk waffle with 2 scoops of ice cream, salted caramel and hazelnut. It does indeed live up to its name. The waffle is very crispy on the outside but manage to stay fluffy and light in the inside.
Both ice cream really nice as well, the hazelnut especially. Tasted very much like Ferrero Rocher chocolate. The salted caramel tasted a bit subtle. However, the extra caramel drizzle on top really give it a definite caramel flavor.
The price for the waffle alone is $6. Additional of ice cream will cost you extra $4 for one or $7 for two scoops.
The waffles selection here is pretty unique. They have red velvet, chocolate banana, mango berry and the most uncommon one has to be black velvet waffle.
So I tried for the black v and it tasted different than your average waffle. They gave you the option for crispy or fluffy waffle, which is great as i like mine to be crispy. The waffle itself was a bit salty and i almost thought they add cheese.
On top of the crispy waffle, you can opt for either green gea or black sesame ice cream. They allowed me to test one spoon of each ice cream first before deciding which flavor i want. As green tea flavor is quite common nowadays, I decides to opt for the black sesame one. It really compliment the cheesy and salty waffle. The sesame was not strong but you can identify the flavor.
The black sesame waffle will cost you $14.00 and the rest of the dessert waffles will cost you ard $13.00-$14.50. Additionally they also serve savoury waffles if you decided to opt for salty one.
