Want a bite of this? How I wish this McWrap was available in Singapore! The Angus beef patty in halves were wrapped loosely with tomatoes, lettuce, melted cheese, pickles and thousand island sauce. Nothing fancy and predictable taste but it would be a good addition to Singapore's limited menu. πŸ˜‰

After throwing a coin into the Trevi Fountain, I spotted the big M just down the street. The big Angus beef patty is sandwiched between the fluffy buns with caramelized onions, crispy lettuce, melted cheese, strips of bacon and a spread of thick smoky bbq sauce. Yummy! πŸ˜‹

Roast with baked potatoes is one of the Italian classics, or so I've heard. It is usually served using roasted beef or pork and I got to try the pork version. The pork tenderloin was really soft and the sauce added some herby and refreshing aftertaste. The baked potatoes tasted so good that I wanted another bowl of it but that was not available separately on the menu. Noticed that the portion was rather small? This was the accompanied dish for my pasta. 😘

Hard to find an authentic and affordable Italian restaurant that serves good al dente pasta in Singapore? You won't have to worry about that in Italy.

I randomly stepped into one of the food stalls along the street outside Leaning Tower of Pisa, and I enjoyed the best carbonara I've had (for this price range). It had a strong eggy flavour mixed with the savoury oil and aroma from the pancetta (Italian bacon). Almost every bite was strung along with the slightly melted cheese and diced pancetta. Delizioso~~ πŸ˜‹

In a queue to enter St. Peter's Basilica at Vatican City, the sun was scorching hot and I saw a crowd started gathering around an Italian uncle next to the queue. Everyone was fighting to get a cone of this 4+1 gelato cone. There were strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and choc chip gelato in the big cone, topped with a mini cone of lime sorbet! So cute! 😍 Though the flavours were ordinary, the fine cone of gelato definitely reminded me that I'm in Italy. πŸ‘

P.S.: The vanilla gelato is yellow with little black dots because they use real vanilla beans and egg yolks. This is the authentic vanilla ice cream. 😘
