Can Soba go well with any soup base? Absolutely! I know from experience since my Mom always takes the soba noodles I buy from NTUC and cooks it with whatever Chinese soup she is making. 🍜

Same concept here at Tsuta except it is One-Michelin Starred and has truffle oil in its soup! 😋

I tried the Miso Soba on a cold rainy evening, perfect weather for piping hot Ramen! Surprisingly there wasn't a queue when I got there at 6pm on a weekday evening. ❄️ The noodles were crisp, char siew was tender and my Favourite was the Ajitama 🍳! Sooo good! The soup though...hmm..i must say, it's an acquired taste.

I love all things truffle - truffle oil, truffle fries, spaghetti with truffle, you get the gist. But truffle oil in Miso soup...not my cuppa tea. 🤔 Suppose I can't consider myself truffle lover of all time! 😝

Although I didn't quite like the aftertaste of the soup in my mouth, my partner loved it to bits!
Price wise, it's affordable considering it's Michelin starred and in Orchard.

Taste wise, you gotta try it for yourself! 👅

The bowl of nom nom goodness includes - salmon sashimi 🐟, carrot 🥕 , radish, spring onion, the crispy thingy in lou hei, onsen egg (hidden below all the salmon), rice and plum sauce. All that was missing was my all time fav POMELO!
The bowl was a tad small to toss the ingredients like a real lou hei so I had to eat the things part by part. I tried to mix the plum sauce into the food but it was kinda difficult to mix and not have any spillage. 🥗

Taste wise, the salmon was so tasty, fresh and had a generous serving! 😆The veggies, crisp. The plum sauce, overwhelming. Partially my fault for not mixing the plum sauce in well so towards the end I kinda felt a bit "jelat" from the taste of the plum sauce.😐 Will I give this place another shot? Yes, cos the other items on the menu look!really interesting such as the desserts 🍰 and the cocktails! 🍸

What better way to usher in the new year than to dig your face into a burger stacked with so much goodness - beef patty, cheddar cheese, fried egg, bacon, tomato, pickles, lettuce and mayonnaise - stuffed in between a nicely toasted burger bun. 😋🍔🧀🍳🐄🥓🥗

I stumbled across Ippudo 🍜 at Tanjong Pagar Centre and I was surprised it was still open!🍣 So I went in and decided not to order the ramen cos I felt that it was a tad to heavy for 9pm 😅. I flipped through the menu and came across this Mentaiko salmon rolls (I can't rmb the exact name but there's a picture of it in the menu. Just point ☝🏻 when u wanna order it.) 🤣

The dish came pretty fast and I dug in instantly...well almost instantly after snapping incessant photos of it! 📸

There was a generous amount of Mentaiko on each piece of sushi, Salmon slices were thick and fresh. 😋 Taking a bite out of the sushi, I was sent to MENTAIKO HEAVEN! Like Wah, even Genki sushi doesn't put as much Mentaiko on its sushi lorrrrrr. 😆

Anyhoos...if you're a huge fan of Mentaiko, you must definitely order this. 5 pieces cost S$12++ and it's totally worth the try, it's really filling so you might wanna share this with a friend or have it all to yourself, like me! Hahahaha! 😇

Exploring Tanjong Pagar at 9pm on a weekend left me feeling hungry and craving for a quick bite. I stumbled across Ippudo 🍜 at Tanjong Pagar Centre and I was surprised it was still open!🍣

I'm a sucker for all things salmon 🐟 and this was the perfect dish for a hardcore salmon fan like me! 🍱

This dish consists of Salmon Sashimi, Aburi Salmon Belly, cubed spicy salmon and Mentaiko mentaiko seared salmon sashimi, topped off with Ikura! (Got this list off the menu 😅) I also decided to switch the rice base to a salad base instead, in an attempt to lose some fats! Lol!
The salmon was really fresh and tasty! I loved how generous they were with the wasabi! All the differently seasoned/raw salmon went well together and it brought me to salmon heaven! 🌟

The salad 🥗 part though was a bit mehhhhh...it isn't a very huge portion and there was nothing unique about the salad dressing. To think about it, I don't even remember the taste of the dressing. That's how unmemorable it is! 😵

Overall, I'll give this dish a 3.8/5, I had to deduct some points because of the meh salad base and the additional $1 I had to pay to change the Rice 🍚 to veggies... 😑

I'd recommend you'd stick to rice for this dish, more hearty and satisfying! I still love all the other dishes at Tanuki Raw and will definitely go back again!! 😍
