Homemade goodness -

In the mood for Thai today .

The CB has really revolutionised my thoughts about eating at home.

I used to think that it was boring but just with a little creativity and pantry management - you’d be sure to get the bang for your buck if you enjoy cooking .

And you get to cook your food exactly the way you like it .

Been searching high and Low for a worthy banana cake -

Weird but the most searched upon food in a pandemic like this seems to be good ole comfort foods like these .

Disappointed too many times by the banana cakes from bakeries - banana cake lovers would know what I mean .

Perfected my recipe for a soft, spongy and feather light banana cake with all that real banana goodness .

One of the best things that emerged from this CB .

Waking up to the fresh smells of bagel 🥯.

Nothing Beats a good ole plain bagel .

Perfectly toasted bagel with French butter .

1. It’s a Hakka dish
2. It requires Long hours of slow stewing
2. Goes best with rice

An attempt to re-create my baked rice memories from swensens.

What better way than a baked rice to warm your stomach in this rainy weather .

Egg fried rice topped with spicy thick curry , lots of cheese , panko crumbs and a sesame seeds for a fun twist .

What do you do with leftover potatoes from potato salad, coconut milk from making kueh and a chicken in your freezer ?

You invite them all to a curry party .

And enjoy with endless baguette 🥖 and rice 🍚.

Lei Cha rice - pretty boring .....

How about some cold leicha gravy over handmade warm mee swa .

Super refreshing for this hot hot hot weather .

A little old , a little new .

How about some homemade green bean sweet potato with Okinawa black sugar to dispel some heat from this crazy weather ?

Homemade Orh nee and purple sweet potato kueh .

Sweat out in the kitchen so you can enjoy your fruit of labour thereafter .

Anyone ?

Quintessential Cantonese

You’d be surprised how a good stock , fresh Gingko nuts and beancurd skin could produce a velvety luxurious porridge .

What a thirst quencher for this crazy weather .

Nothing Beats home cooked .

Funny that my friends tell me they crave for kueh kueh -

“Absence makes the heart fonder”

Can’t find it ? Make it :)

Featuring sweet potato kueh kueh
Using Japanese imported sweet potatoes

Tender and moist and a burst of juicyness with that fresh coconut shavings .

I dream of food .
